The Program:

The only training of its kind in the profession! It’s not about running the crematory machine—it’s about helping families make better choices and your company not “losing” families (or revenue). The ICCFA Arranger Certification program is presented by Glenda Stansbury and Poul Lemasters, Esq., two people who have the knowledge and experience to help you understand the arranger side of cremation.  This training is focused on the specific skills required for serving the cremation family from the beginning of the relationship until the end. It will focus on awareness for funeral professionals in dealing with the unique needs, expectations, and misconceptions that families choosing cremation present in all aspects of arrangement and service. You will be given tools for effectively and confidently becoming a professional guiding presence for the cremation family, how to articulate value and service options, how to avoid legal issues, and how to create meaningful ceremonies. Please note: This is not a Crematory Operator Certification Program. This training is focused on enhancing the skills of funeral professionals in arranging meaningful and personalized cremation services for families.

In Ohio, only a licensed funeral director is legally permitted to conduct funeral arrangements with families. While completing an Arranger Training or Certification Program is encouraged for educational purposes within the funeral profession, it does not grant legal authority to perform funeral arrangements.
