2026 Music and Webcast licensing will be available to purchase soon! 2025 Music and Webcast licensing is still available. If you still need it, you can purchase your 2025 licensing online by clicking here. We recommend logging into your ICCFA account with your e-mail address and password when purchasing your licensing. When purchasing, you will be required to enter the name and the physical address of the location(s) in the required box. If purchasing for multiple locations, be sure to increase the quantity by clicking the arrow beside the Add to Cart button.
Open to any company in the cemetery and funeral service industry in the U.S., the ICCFA is offering 2025 music licensing with ASCAP, BMI and SESAC at $360 per physical address and Webcasting Licenses for $63 per URL/website address. There are no additional fees or membership requirements.
Alongside the ASCAP, BMI and SESAC license, the ICCFA has a GMR (Global Music Rights) license that is available to purchase. GMR is a rapidly growing music licensing organization that serves as a platform for many budding artists and legacy performers. Almost all GMR artists are part of the Billboard Hot 100, so if you want to play newer music, you will want to consider purchasing a GMR license. For a list of GMR artists, click here to view their catalog.
To reduce your risk of copyright infringement and maximize your range in music artists, we encourage you to purchase a GMR license alongside a license the ICCFA has with ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. A GMR music license is $130 per physical location and $25 per URL/website address for webcasting license. If you purchase a GMR webcasting license, GMR offers the one-time purchase of a “past performance” license that would protect your business from copyright infringement for the use of music from GMR artists prior to 2025 for $60 per URL/website address. If you purchased a Past Performance license in 2024, you do NOT need to purchase another license.
Music licensing is the law, and failure to obtain a license where one is required can be costly. Copyright law provides for damages similar to fines of up to $30,000 for each song that is infringed. If your company, regardless of size, hosts performances of copyrighted music—whether the music is performed live or played from recordings—music copyright owners say you are legally required to pay an annual licensing fee.
The music license allows a business to play (perform) any live or recorded music at any service and at any location. The webcasting license is an additional music license that allows a business to stream a funeral service – including the songs played during the service – on their website, without violating copyright laws. You must have a music license before you purchase a webcasting license.
The music license rate is a direct pass-through of the combined annual fees from ASCAP, BMI, GMR, and SESAC. Licensing directly with the agencies this year would cost nearly $600 per location.
