This afternoon, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a split decision in regard to the Biden Administration’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) vaccine or test mandate for large businesses with over 100 employees and for healthcare workers. The court ruled that large businesses with over 100 employers WILL NOT be mandated to require their workers to vaccinate against COVID-19, or submit to weekly testing and wear masks if unvaccinated. The Court ruled that healthcare facilities that take Medicare and Medicaid payments will have to follow the OSHA mandate which requires the vaccine.
What does this mean for you? ICCFA members with over 100 employees are not mandated to require workers to be vaccinated or to test weekly if unvaccinated. ICCFA members with less than 100 employees were not covered by the OSHA mandate.
