Would you like to learn more about how to provide grief care for your families? Join Linda to learn and explore how to be a confident\, well-equipped\, grief care provider. Together we can close the gap in grief care.  \nSpanning four decades\, Linda Findlay\, through Mourning Discoveries\, has partnered with funeral home firms and other types of organizations that place a high value on supporting their families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Together\, with grief care education and resources\, they have effectively served grieving families in thousands of communities across the country. He currently teaches in Edgewood College’s Master of Thanatology program and at Worsham College of Mortuary Science. Additionally\, he teaches death education and wellness programs for various age groups at Mayflower United Church of Christ. \nHe earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota. SUMMARY:Employee Engagement & Retention in the "Side-Hustle" Era: Understanding the Shift from Work-Life Balance to Overall Wellness
DESCRIPTION:Join us on June 20\, 2024\, at 2:00 PM EDT for the next ICCFA Webinar\, Employee Engagement & Retention in the “Side-Hustle” Era: Understanding the Shift from Work-Life Balance to Overall Wellness\, with Lori Bolton\, CSE\, CXE\, head of Special Projects/People Development at the Park Lawn Corporation. \nDo you think your employees care about their work\, or are they just going through the motions?  In 2023\, US employee engagement stood at 33%. That means 2/3 of employees are not passionate about their work. It is estimated that the deficit in employee engagement costs US employers $500 billion per year. Job hiring sites like Monster and Indeed estimate that 95% of workers are looking for a new job. Additionally\, 45% of employees have side hustles to earn more money or fulfill other interests.   \nIt’s no secret that employee engagement increases retention and performance\, but how do you increase engagement? It is critical that you understand how each employee’s overall well-being is critical to your success and how this is very different from the outdated concept of work-life balance. In this webinar\, Lori will present the concept of overall employee well-being and a plan for developing an employee engagement strategy. \nLori brings over 20 years of expertise in cemetery and funeral home management\, along with a focus on technology solutions in the deathcare field. With a background at Johnson Consulting Group/J3Tech Solutions\, Catholic Management Services\, and PlotBox\, Lori now spearheads comprehensive training programs at Park Lawn Corporation. She’s a seasoned professional in customer experience\, holding two certifications and being an active member of the CXPA. Lori also contributes to the ICCFA Sales and Marketing Committee and teaches at ICCFA University. SUMMARY:Immortal Art Galleries
DESCRIPTION:Join us on February 15 at 2:00 PM EST for the next ICCFA Webinar\, Immortal Art Galleries with Megan Anderson\, General Manager at Holly Hill Memorial Park. \nArt holds the ability to tell a story and evoke a wide array of emotions. Paintings like Mona Lisa and The Starry Night have captured our imaginations for centuries. We have been building museums to showcase these masterpieces for centuries as well. The oldest art museum in the US is the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art which opened to the public in 1844. In this webinar\, Megan Anderson proposes the oldest art gallery in the US is actually The Miles Standish Burial Ground\, founded in 1656\, where some of the Mayflower pilgrims are interred. Does that idea sound strange?  \nMegan believes cemeteries are immortal art galleries hosting truly one-of-a-kind pieces of irreplaceable art celebrating humanity and every memorial should reflect the life of its owner in detail. The concept of creating a piece of art when designing a memorial will result in building tremendous value in not only memorialization but also permanent placement. Memorials\, like paintings\, should express a story\, evoke emotions and give us a glimpse of who the owner is. How you present these ideas to your families will reframe their mindset to see the value in what you offer. Join Megan as she shares with you her passion for memorials and cemeteries and helps you translate that to the people you serve. Adopting these theories can be measured in increased sales\, increased belief in the merit of what deathcare professionals do\, and most importantly\, an increase in the healing experience that honoring our dead brings. \nMegan’s background is in the performing arts. From a title role in the film “Radio” to various other stage and screen performances; she is comfortable in front of an audience! After unexpectedly losing her father in 2012\, she became a family service counselor. Her journey brought her back home to North Carolina in 2017 where her role shifted to General Manager. Unsatisfied with the impersonal funeral service her father was given\, she attended ICCFA University and became a Certified Funeral Celebrant and now combines her speaking skills with her passion for celebrating lives through intimate and very detailed funeral services. Since coming to Holly Hill\, her and her husband have increased sales dramatically and changed the way their community views their cemetery.  \nClick Here to Register
