Market Vice President of Operations (Dallas, TX)

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Regional Vice President of Operations. This position will oversee all market operations and operations-related functions including business operations and growth strategy, overall training needs, forecasting, market management, and people development to deliver service above and beyond client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate business operations and growth plans that result in achievement of operations goals, improvement of customer service / case volume, and grow revenue
  • Develop budgetary plans, additional inventory/capital development improvement projects to meet regional and corporate operations goals
  • Monitor and manage operations expenses, other costs and revenue on a regular basis to maintain compliance within budget constraints and develop means to meet plan
  • Partner with other senior management in the region and at the Home Office to strengthen the position of the region in all aspects
  • Provide the direction, communication, and development to Business Operations
  • Lead and direct all recruiting, hiring, training, development, delegating, motivating and inspiring activities to achieve a highly motivated, competent work force to meet business objectives and quotas within assigned region
  • Be knowledgeable of all statutory issues that affect the operations in our industry and be aware of changes or needs that should to be implemented
  • Provide direction to implement and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Ensure all company cemetery and funeral operating procedures are implemented, monitored and documented as being in effect
  • Build a useful and positive relationship with civic leaders, merchants and residents of assigned market in order to develop new strategic partnerships and business opportunities

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a Management role
  • 5+ years of experience in funeral home and cemetery operations
  • Proven ability to plan strategies and ensure that market goals are met
  • Direct experience preparing annual budgets and developing cost effective ways to achieve goals
  • Extensive knowledge of rules and regulations for the memorial services profession
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional communication and effective leadership skills
